Watercolor

I began painting watercolors in earnest in 2018. I was particularly drawn to work by Nick Runge, Alejandro Casanova, and other online artists whose work is characterized by overlapping tiles, shapes, and layers. I combined this with a love of Tamara de Lempicka, Andy Warhol, Byzantine iconography, and other artists who made the human image into a symbol.
